How To Identify What Our Spiritual Purpose Is In Life

We all have a deep inner yearning to know what our purpose is in life. Although our lives have a purpose on one level or another, finding and understanding what it is can be a bit of a challenge. The fact that this yearning doesn’t go away until after we have discovered what it is, reflects just how important it is for us to know what it is.

Some people are born with a vocation and therefore they have a very clear vision of what they are meant to be doing. Although having a vocation has its own considerable trials and tribulations, it does mean that these people are spared the self-doubt and confusion that can be experienced by those without one.

When we are aware of our spiritual purpose, it means that our light-being state and earthly conscious self are working as one. However, because the majority of us do not have a vocation to follow, we need to question and search for both the meaning as well as the spiritual purpose of our lives.

Until we find them, we tend to wander aimlessly from one activity to another, feeling dissatisfied and some how incomplete. This may well be because many of us are not connected to that essential spiritual aspect of ourselves, the higher self, which is apart of the collective.

Despite the fact that we are all one, this feeling of disconnection can make us feel that we don’t fit I because we think that we are not contributing toward anything worthwhile. Just because we don’t know what our earthly purpose is doesn’t mean that the lives we are living have no meaning or purpose, it does. However, the fact that the value of our very existence seems to escape us, means that we can loose sight of who we are, and this is often reflected I our behavior, which itself can cause feelings of alienation from others.

In order to make a healthy connection with our higher selves, we need to accept that simply living our lives to the best of our ability gives us meaning and that this in itself is a major part of our spiritual purpose.

Finding ones spiritual purpose is a great leveler and at this juncture, I think it is important to mention that someone’s position in society makes no difference as to the value of his or her purpose. In other words, a CEO of a corporate company, a single parent or a street person will all experience the same amount of yearning until they find their spiritual purpose.

This is because no matter who we are, our thoughts, words and deeds on the earth plan are translated, transformed and employed by our light-being state, into what is required within the realms of spirit. However, in order to understand the ramifications of this process and how it affects us on the earth plain, we need clarity and to achieve this, we need to walk away from the tendency to be judgmental, whether it is with ourselves or with another.

Being judgmental clouds the issue and stops us from being able to see things as they are and not what we want them to be. This in turn can prevent us from recognising our spiritual purpose. Furthermore, since we don’t fully understand the concept of what is above is below and that everything happens for a reason, it is nigh impossible for us to fully appreciate how our actions on the earth plain either affect or are interpreted within the realms of Spirit.

However, what we do know is that our light-being states are always aligned to the greater good and that our spiritual purpose can make itself know through our careers, lifestyles, hobbies and our spiritual beliefs. Although these activities don’t define who we are, they can be used as a pointer to provide us with valuable insight when we use them as correspondences. Here are some examples:

• The spiritual counterparts of an artist can include light work and colour therapy.
• Architects and builders can correspond to sacred geometry and crystals.
• Playing the dice can equate to working with runes and/or the I Ching.
• Authors are associated with channeling and automatic hand-writing.
• Tarot corresponds with the films and TV because it tells a story in picture form.
• Mathematicians and Accountants are associated with astrology and numerology.
• Engineers correspond with the structure of the fabric of time and space.
• Traces left by pilots flying airplanes interlock with the planetary grid.
• Farmers and gardeners working the land interact with the ley lines.
• Electricians work with ectoplasm.
• Radio, telephone and IT personnel work with the hyper-communication network.
• Plumbers on the other hand work with the ethereal waterways
• Actors represent archetypes and mask work.
• Anything to do with needlework will be connected to the tapestry of life

And on it goes. These correspondences don’t necessarily dictate where we should start our spiritual journey, they give us an understanding of what we do within the spirit realms whilst we are living our lives on the earth.

However, as is with everything, working with correspondences is not as simple as it first appears to be. What needs to be borne in mind is that our subconscious is responsible for many of our actions and thoughts, which themselves sometimes goes against what we think or do on a conscious level.

The result of this can be that those who are artists may have no interest what so ever in colour therapy, nevertheless their work could be used by colour therapists. Alternatively, those who have never been interested in gardening or farming ay well be drawn to working with ley lines.

Such discrepancies highlight the fact that as mentioned earlier, we understand very little about our early existence and how it correlates to our light being state’s activities in the spirit realms. What we do know is that whatever it is we do on the earth plain has far more impact than mot of us realize. Nevertheless, by suing the correspondences, we are able to look at our career, hobby, lifestyle or faith from a different perspective, one that doesn’t include how or why we find ourselves in our current lifestyle.

Instead, we focus upon what changes may be taking place in spirit because of the lifestyle we are living on the earth plain. By doing so we can gain insight into what our spiritual purpose is whilst being presented with a completely different understand as to both the meaning and purpose itself. We are then able to appreciate that our spiritual purpose, although irrevocably linked to our earthly one, is devoid of ego, which drives our earthly wants, needs and desires.

By putting our earthly ego driven selves aside, we are able to embrace the concept that a person doesn’t need artistic talent to become a colour therapist and someone who works with ley lines doesn’t need to know anything about the land.

So for those of you who are still searching for your purpose, look at your career, hobby, faith and overall lifestyle. Find out what the correspondence is within Spirit and then look further into the subject matter of what you find.

By self-tutoring yourself in this way, I think you will be surprised not only at what you will find out about yourself, but at what you have been doing all this time without realising it.
