Wounded Healer Concept - Christ and Chiron.
One day, as I sit in mediation to find some comfort, I see a vision of a swimming pool, the water is red in colour and to my surprise, I then see myself in the pool too, I see myself gathering my veins, that had been broken, thus letting the blood from my body pour out.
I am deeply traumatised, and my eyes are sore from crying the tears of a flood, I am weak, exhausted, in pain, hurt, bruised, and so alone. No one is there to reach out and offer me a helping hand. So I take my veins and sit at the side of the pool. I bury my head in my arms and sob once more.
I sit for days and months in trance meditations, there is no other way.
I call out to God, to help my desperate state of being, as I feel I have been blown apart in all directions.
God answers, he comes to me as the Christ energy, for Christ knew how it was for blood to be shed in this way, where you have been left to die. Christ has been a Wounded-Healer since the day he was born. He died on the cross wounded, and transcended to give us healing and direction.
So, Christ touches my shoulder and he says, child, you are wounded, through me you shall learn: compassion, healing, faith, trust, love, and sacrifice. You will go out and help others whilst you heal your wounds and learn from them. You now know the truth.
As he speaks, I feel a sense of warmth and love from this energy, as I open my eyes in the room where I am sitting meditating, I see nothing but white light, it is a bright white light, and all I can feel is Peace like I had never know, a Peace and a Stillness. Whilst that white light was there, I did not feel any pain or hurt etc. Just Peace, Stillness and Love. So much love like I’ve never known.
This experience was a turning point in my life, and the journey became one of the Wounded Healer. This is an archetypal concept from Greek Mythology of a Centaur Chiron who was shot by a poisoned arrow and had to live with his wound because he was immortal, he had to find a way. So he began to heal others so he could heal and learn about his own wound. The learning experience gives great insight and wisdom.
I trained in many of the healing therapies and continue to do so. I spent ten very intense years working with women and some men, who were going through some aspect of wounding similar to mine, this is how I learnt the lesson of deep compassion, it is not something that just comes, it is learnt through living your experiences and connecting from the heart.
Some of the cases that I dealt with were, even more intense and horrifying than my own, however, the experience itself may have been different, but the wounding was very similar, and it is the wounding and the depth of the wounding that I could relate to and empathise with. It was almost as if I went on a journey with them in their healing process, thus at the same time, being able to deal with my own wounds.
This is very similar to a term called ‘externalisation-identification’. This is where we can identify with our own wounding by first externalising it to help someone else.
Chiron was also named after a comet found in the sky in 1977 and it is interesting that this was found just as we were becoming more consciously aware of wounding and healing. Chiron is also worked out in the birth chart to find out the placement of the soft spot for this wounding as a main theme.
Jaswinder Challi – The placing of Chiron is a profound insight towards the wounding but even more so for the healing.
Hippocrates, the Father of Medicine said : “A physician without the knowledge of astrology has no right to call himself a physician.”
Mark Twain said: “I was born with Halley’s Comet and I expect to die upon its return,” and he did.
